Alex Schönfelder has been living in Strasbourg since 2010. The geographer and author was awarded the first poetry prize in 2022 by the Ortenau–Alsace Authors’ Network for his poem “What the Red Beech Knows”.

As co-founder of the association “En Quête d’Illkirch,” he is actively involved in the regional literary scene of Alsace together with his wife, Sandra Noël. With DIE TÖCHTER DER ZIRBELNUSS (The Daughters of Augsburg), he presents his literary debut.
